King’s College congratulates Andrew Eunson on his appointment as CEO of Cromwell College

King’s College warmly congratulates Andrew Eunson on his appointment as the next CEO of Cromwell College.
Head of College, Dr Don Markwell AM, congratulated Andrew on this significant appointment, and thanked him for his tireless contribution to the King’s College community, and for his exceptional dedication and impact.
“Andrew has brought remarkable energy, creativity and genuine care for students and community life,” he said.
“He and Chelsey have contributed enormously to the warmth and vibrancy of King’s College, and we are very grateful.”
Andrew’s appointment continues a strong tradition of leadership development at King’s.
“This is the second Deputy Head from King’s in succession to be appointed as head of another college at the University of Queensland,” Dr Markwell said.
Since joining King’s in 2023 as Deputy CEO, Andrew has made an outstanding contribution to the life of the College. He helped lead the development of the College’s 2024–2028 Strategic Plan, while also serving on several occasions as Acting Head.
Andrew has strengthened the College’s commitment to community service and engagement, including through partnerships with organisations including Rotary International, Youngcare, Habitat Brisbane, and Hearts in Rugby Union, helping students contribute more than 1,000 volunteer hours already this year.
Andrew has played a key role in revitalising music and performing arts at King’s. The King’s Band has achieved back-to-back second-place finishes at ICC Bandfest, while Andrew and Chelsey have supported the continued growth and vibrancy of the King’s Choir, which has this year won the inter-college Choralfest.
Reflecting on his time at King’s, Andrew said:
“At King’s, what has driven me has always been the students — encouraging them to pursue their passions, embrace opportunity and realise that with vision and commitment, anything is possible.”
The College will announce arrangements for an interim Deputy Head and Director of Collegians’ Experience in the coming weeks.
The King’s community sincerely thanks Andrew for his outstanding service and wishes Andrew, Chelsey, Brady and Delilah every success and happiness as they join the Cromwell community.
