Strategic Direction
At King’s College, our focus is clear: to provide an exceptional all-round collegiate educational experience where students live, learn, and thrive.
The Strategic Plan reflects both a deep respect for the College’s history and a strong commitment to innovation, setting the stage for a transformative period in the life of the College. Developed through broad consultation with our College community, it articulates clear priorities that respond to contemporary needs while remaining grounded in the values that define King’s.
In 1938, the College’s longest-serving Master, the Rev. Professor HH Trigge, wrote that a core purpose of King’s was to be “a residential college affiliated with the University of Queensland, where students of promise may graduate in the most inspiring and enriching conditions”. He later wrote of the goal “to make King’s available to all”.
The College’s strategic plan reinforces this vision: to educate the whole person in a community where students are supported to grow academically, personally, and socially, and to contribute meaningfully to the world around them, and to work to make this life-changing experience available to students of promise from diverse backgrounds.
