2027 Applications for King’s now open

How to Apply

Residential – Information & Application

King’s College accepts applications from students who wish to study at the University of Queensland or Queensland University of Technology. As a college within The University of Queensland, preference is given to students who indicate that UQ is their first preference for university study (though the College accepts that students change their minds for good reasons, or receive an offer to QUT and miss UQ because of their ATAR score, and will honour offers the College has made to such students).

2026 Full Year Resident Student Applications have closed.  Limited Semester 2 and Associate Member positions are available. Applications for Associate Members positions will be processed, with successful applicants invited to interview.

To begin your application through our online portal, simply select Apply Now below.

2027 Applications are open via the King’s College online portal.

King's College offers a wide range of Scholarships and Bursaries

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION

Think about your academic, community service, leadership, sporting, cultural, and other activities and achievements – we want to hear about your experience in your studies, community service, any leadership positions you hold or have held, your sporting abilities (and the levels you play at), your interests in the arts, and any other extra-curricular and community activities in which you take part.

Prepare a recent passport-size photo of yourself (head and shoulders only)

You are required to nominate a Referee and you will need to have their name and email address ready before you start your application.

It is our preference that your referee be someone who knows you well including a schoolteacher, House Master/Supervisor, or employee.

We will not accept a referee from a friend or family member.

If you are considering applications to both our Resident Student or Associate positions, please select one only and you can discuss your considerations at the time of interview. There is no need to submit two applications.

* Please note there is a non-refundable fee of $200 for new students payable at the time of your application submission.
