Bedrooms

A space of your own at King’s

Every resident student at King’s lives in a single room, which comes fully furnished with the essentials: a long single bed (minimum), desk, desk lamp, wireless internet connection, wardrobe, and bookcase. Make your room feel like home by bringing your own bed linen, TV, a small fridge and computer.

It goes without saying that your room is an important part of your life, but you will find that your flat to be a home away from home. Getting to know your flat is a unique aspect of College life. Students will often recount that their favourite memories are those when resident students opened up their rooms and congregated in the corridors for informal gatherings, laughter and entertainment. It’s often during these times that you develop powerful friendships and life-long memories.

Dining Hall

The King’s Dining Hall is the heart of the College community where you’ll never be without food or great company. King’s values the opportunity to gather during meal times and simply catch up with fellow students.

Our catering team provides three outstanding meals per day which are self-serving. In addition, the King’s Cafe serves delicious food and barista made coffee throughout the morning.

If you have commitments during lunch and dinner time you can make a packed lunch at breakfast and take it with you, or late dinners can be pre-ordered and available in the Dining Hall when you return.

At set times each semester we have formal dinners to celebrate King’s achievements or to hear from special guest speakers. These are formal nights giving us all a chance to come together as a community, listen to insightful speakers, and enjoy an incredible meal.

Breakfast

Each day our continental breakfast includes cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit and the ever popular hot breakfast provides a cycle of delicious foods including pastries, eggs and bacon.

Lunch

Stop by the Dining Hall for lunch! There are hot food options and a range of salad, meat, cheese and bread. Fresh fruit is also available. Not able to make it to lunch? No problem! A large range of lunch foods are available for you to make a Packed Lunch during breakfast hours.

Dinner

As with our other main meals, dinner is a self-serve of delicious hot food and a range of salads. Can’t make Dinner? Sign up for a late meal that you can have once you return from practice or classes.

Recreation & Learning Facilities

The College is a residential academic community of university students drawn from across country Australia and the world.

King’s has some of the most amazing facilities of any residential college in Australia. in addition to our homely living spaces, facilities also include:
