 King's NewsKing’s takes Francis and Kassulke Cupand 2009 ICC Sports Trophy for 38th Time! More than 2500 people watched in anticipation as King’s College took out the Francis and Kassulke Cup, and as a result the ICC Sports Cup for 2009. The Francis and Kassulke Cup was donated last year and is named after Kingsman Eric Francis, UQ's first Wallaby in 1914 and Nigel Kassulke, a Wallaby in 1985 who resided at St Leo's from 1979 to 1981 and presented the trophy to the winning team. The win also gave King’s the overall Inter College Sporting Trophy for 2009, the 38th year King’s has won the trophy. The ICC Sports Trophy is awarded to the College who scores the most points across the 12 ICC Sports, including rowing, rugby cricket swimming and athletics. King’s also holds the record for holding the trophy for the most consecutive years; 7 years from 2000 – 2007.
