Applying for Membership to King's College

King’s College does not have a cut-off date for applications. It is however, advisable to apply as soon as possible and not wait for your Uni placement before applying to King's.

King’s College sends out guaranteed offers throughout the year, conditional on applicants receiving a UQ or QUT place in the first QTAC round of offers. Earlier applicants receiving this guaranteed offer have the peace of mind knowing that they have a place to live if they are accepted into either of these universities.

It is important to note that you may apply for one UQ Residential College only.

Application Process

1. Complete and submit the online or hardcopy application (we prefer to receive online applications).
2. Download and complete additional forms necessary to make an application to King's.
3. Email a digital passport photograph of the applicant, in Tiff or Jpeg format to kings.college@uq.edu.au .
4. Pay $55 application fee (non refundable). 
5. Upon receipt of these additional items King’s College will contact you if further information is required. It may be necessary for you to have an interview with the Master or the Dean of Students. We prefer to conduct interviews in person, however telephone interviews are an option for those living outside South - East Queensland.
